Male unmarried candidates can enter the Indian Army through the prestigious Technical Entry Scheme (TES-54), which leads to a Permanent Commission as a Lieutenant. After completing three years of training at the Cadets Training Wings (CTW) in Pune, Mhow, or Secunderabad, candidates spend a year at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
