Note: This vacancy is horizontally reserved for a woman candidate with Blindness and Low Vision (PBD) category. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s Degree from any University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act, or Provincial Act, or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), or any equivalent qualification.
- Candidates must also qualify the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) as per G.O.Ms.No.26, G.A. (Ser-B) Dept., Dt: 24.02.2023. Selection for the CPT will be based on merit in the written examination.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years (as on 01.07.2025)
Age Relaxation: Relaxations in the upper age limit are permissible for various categories:
- SC, ST, BCs, and EWS: 5 Years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBD): 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: Allowed to deduct a period of 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered in the armed forces/NCC.
- N.C.C. (who have worked as Instructor in N.C.C.): 5 Years
- Regular A.P. State Government Employees (excluding Corporations, Municipalities, etc.): Allowed to deduct the length of regular Service under the State Government up to a maximum of 5 years.
- Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months: 3 Years
- Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands (not remarried and belonging to SC/ST category): Upper age limit is 48 years.
- Widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands (not remarried and not belonging to SC/ST category): Upper age limit is 43 years.

Exemptions from Examination Fee (₹80 only):
- SC, ST, BC, PBDs, & Ex-Servicemen categories.

- Un-employed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser- A) Dept., dated: 18/10/1996, who must submit a declaration at the appropriate time.
Important Note:
- Applicants belonging to the exempted categories (except PBD & Ex-Servicemen) hailing from other States are not entitled to the examination fee exemption or any reservation benefits. They must pay the full prescribed fee of ₹330 (₹250 Processing Fee + ₹80 Examination Fee).
- The fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances. Failure to pay the applicable fee will result in the total rejection of the application for the APPSC Junior Office Assistant Recruitment 2025.
Selection Process
- Stage 1: Written Examination (Objective Type)
- This will be an OMR-based offline examination consisting of two papers: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 marks) and General English & General Telugu (150 marks). Each wrong answer will incur a penalty of 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question. The examination will be conducted at Vijayawada only.
- Stage 2: Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- Candidates shortlisted based on merit in the written examination will proceed to the Computer Proficiency Test. This is a qualifying test, and applicants must achieve minimum qualifying marks (e.g., OC: 40%, BC: 35%, SC/ST/PBD: 30%) to be considered for appointment.
- Stage 3: Document Verification
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo verification of their original certificates and documents to confirm eligibility. APPSC is adopting a streamlined process using DigiLocker for this stage.
- Stage 4: Medical Fitness Test
- Selected candidates will undergo a medical fitness test to ensure they are physically fit for the service.
- The final selection to the post will be carried out by the concerned District Selection Committee based on the District ranking list provided by the Commission.
How to Apply ?
- STEP-I: One Time Profile Registration (OTPR): If you are a new applicant, first register your bio-data through the One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the APPSC website. A user ID and password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email. Ensure all details are filled correctly.
- STEP-II: Login: Log in to the Commission’s website using your OTPR ID (User Name) and the password you set.
- STEP-III: Fill Application Form: Click on “Online Application Submission” and then on “Fill Application” against Notification No. 22/2025. Fill in all application-specific data, including your local/non-local status and other required details. Carefully fill in qualification details, examination center choice, etc.
- STEP-IV: Pay Application Fee: After confirming all details, click on “Save & Submit.” You will be directed to the payment gateway. Pay the applicable fee online using net banking, credit card, or debit card.
- STEP-V: Submit and Print: Upon successful payment, a payment reference ID will be generated, and an SMS alert sent. Download and print the filled application form (PDF) for your records.
