Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum Second Class in the concerned subject studied in all years/semesters + B.Ed (General) from a NCTE-recognized institute.
• Final year/final semester students are not eligible.
• Only General B.Ed is accepted (B.Ed Special Education not allowed).
• A candidate can apply for only one TGT post.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 35 years (as on 27 April 2026)
• Relaxation: As per Government of Arunachal Pradesh rules (one-time upper age relaxation for General & APST candidates as per AR/219/2022/US-1-AR dated 21 April 2025)

Application Fee

• APST candidates: ₹150
• Other candidates: ₹200
• PwBD candidates: Nil
• Note: Fee payable online only.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

• Stage 1: Written Examination (Objective Type)
  • Paper-I: General English, General Studies, Aptitude & Pedagogy → 150 marks
  • Paper-II: Concerned Subject → 300 marks
• Stage 2: Viva-voce & Classroom Teaching → 50 marks

Negative marking of 1/6th for every wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: 33% aggregate (20% in each paper) for General, 20% aggregate (10% in each paper) for PwBD.

2. Log in and fill out the Online Application Form carefully
3. Upload scanned signature, recent photo, and required documents
4. Pay the application fee online
5. Submit the form before 27 April 2026 (13:00 Hrs.)
