Recruitment Overview

The recruitment covers 14 contractual fellowships across four DRDO laboratories:

• PXE, Chandipur: 1 JRF (Mechanical Engineering) for testing guns, rockets, and ammunition, walk-in interview on 8th July 2025.

• DRDE, Gwalior: 3 JRF (1 Chemistry, 1 Microbiology, 1 Biotechnology) for bioscience research, walk-in-interview on 8th July 2025.
  All posts are for 2 years (JRF extendable/upgradable to SRF; RA fixed). Selection involves walk-in interviews or email application (INMAS), with possible objective-type written tests for shortlisting. No absorption rights in DRDO are conferred, and vacancy numbers may change based on organizational needs.

• Qualifications may be relaxed at the discretion of the Selection Committee for well-qualified candidates.
• SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates must produce original caste/medical certificates at the interview.
• Candidates must bring original documents (mark sheets, certificates, birth certificate, GATE/NET/JEST score card, photo ID, two passport-size photographs for PXE/DLJ, NOC if employed) and self-attested photocopies.
• INMAS requires applications in a single PDF emailed to sonia.inmas@gov.in, named as SUBJECT_CODE_YOUR_NAME_DATE_OF_EMAIL.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected during screening.
• Candidates with CSIR/UGC/INSPIRE/DST fellowships and essential qualifications may be considered for INMAS JRF, apart from DRDO fellowships.

Selection Process

Structure of Selection Process

A written test may be conducted to shortlist candidates if the number of applicants is high (PXE: 09:00 hrs; INMAS: 09:30–10:30 hrs; DRDE: not specified). Walk-in interviews are scheduled for PXE/DRDE (8th July 2025, 09:00 hrs), DLJ (8th–10th July 2025, 10:00 hrs), and INMAS (date communicated to shortlisted candidates). Candidates must bring a duly filled application form (downloadable from www.drdo.gov.in) and required documents. INMAS requires email submission by 30th June 2025. Original documents (educational qualifications, GATE/NET/JEST score card, birth certificate, caste certificate if applicable, photo ID, photographs, NOC if employed) and self-attested photocopies are mandatory. Selection is at the discretion of the Selection Committee, with antecedent verification post-selection. No TA/DA is provided.
