Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as on 01.11.2025)
- Probationary Officer (Generalist): Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree/Graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. It is crucial for candidates to possess a valid Mark-sheet/Degree Certificate confirming graduation on or before 01.11.2025.
- Probationary Officer (Specialist – Rajbhasha/Hindi): Candidates should have a Master’s degree with specific language combinations and minimum percentage requirements. This includes options such as Master’s in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s level, or Master’s in English with Hindi at the Bachelor’s level, or Master’s in any discipline with both English and Hindi at the Bachelor’s level, or Master’s in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation. A minimum of 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others is required in the Master’s degree. The final result must be declared on or before 01.11.2025.
Age Limit (as on 01.11.2025)

Selection Process
- Stage 1: Online Examination: This comprises two papers:
- Objective Test (Multiple Choice Questions – MCQs):
- For Generalists: Covers Reasoning Ability, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude. Total 200 marks for 200 questions in 140 minutes.
- For Specialists: Covers Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Professional Knowledge. Total 200 marks for 200 questions in 140 minutes.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer in the Objective Tests.
- Descriptive Paper (Test of English Language):
- For Generalists: Includes Essay Writing and Precis Writing. Total 40 marks in 40 minutes.
- For Specialists (Rajbhasha): Includes Essay Writing (in English) and Translation. Total 40 marks in 40 minutes.
- This paper is evaluated only for candidates who qualify in the Objective Test and meet the sectional and overall cut-offs.
- Stage 2: Interview: Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the Online Examination will be called for an interview. The interview carries 60 marks, with a minimum qualifying score of 40% for General/OBC/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Weightage: The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of the Online Examination and Interview, with a weightage ratio of 80:20 respectively.
- Stage 3: Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will undergo verification of all original documents pertaining to their eligibility.
- Stage 4: Medical Fitness Test: Final selection is subject to candidates being declared medically fit as per the Company’s requirements.
