Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for the Agricultural Development Officer (Administrative Cadre) post under HPSC, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification
  Applicants should have completed B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture from a recognized university. The degree must be in the relevant discipline to ensure that candidates have the technical knowledge needed for agricultural development work.
  
• Language Requirement
  Candidates must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit up to at least Matric level or higher education (10+2/BA/MA). This ensures that selected candidates can communicate effectively in the official state language while working in Haryana.
  
• Age Limit
  
  • The minimum age required to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age is 42 years as of 1 July 2025.
    
  • Certain relaxations apply to reserved categories as per Haryana Government rules:
    
    • SC/ST/BC-A/BC-B: up to 5 years relaxation.
      
    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): up to 5 years (an additional 5 years if they belong to SC/ST/BC categories).
      
    • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per service rendered, plus 3 additional years.
      
    • Widowed, divorced, or unmarried women: up to 5 years relaxation.
      
    • Employees of the Haryana Government: Relaxation based on the length of service, up to a maximum age of 52 years.
      
• Nationality
  The candidate must be an Indian citizen. Those who are subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, may also be eligible as per government norms.

Selection Process

The selection will take place in multiple stages to ensure that the best-qualified candidates are recruited:

1. Screening Test (Written Exam)
   
   • This initial test will be objective in nature and will shortlist candidates for the next stage.

2. Subject Knowledge Test (SKT)

5. Final Merit List
   
   • The final selection will be based on the combined marks of the Subject Knowledge Test and Interview.
