Educational Qualification

• Essential:
  Postgraduate degree (minimum 55%) in any of the following subjects:
  
  • Biostatistics
    
  • Statistics
    
  • Demography
    
  • Population Studies
    
  • Public Health
    
  • Medical Sociology
    
• Candidates must also have one year of post-qualification experience in the related field.
  
• Desirable:
  
  • Strong scientific writing skills (for reports and manuscripts).
    
  • Experience in Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
    
  • Knowledge of statistical software such as R, STATA, or SPSS.
    
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets such as NFHS, NSSO, IHDS, Census, etc.
    
  • At least one publication in an SCI-indexed journal as first or corresponding author.
    

Age Limit

Experience

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in data analysis, report preparation, or health statistics.

Nature of Duties

Selected candidates will:

• Handle large-scale datasets and ensure data integrity.
  
• Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses for policy and project needs.
  
• Build data processing workflows and dashboards using tools like R and STATA.
  
• Prepare data dictionaries, metadata documentation, and support team training.
  
• Assist in report writing, policy briefs, and technical documentation.
  
• Collaborate with research teams to prepare manuscripts and presentations.
  

Salary and Tenure

• Monthly Salary: ₹42,000/- (fixed, consolidated)
  
• Tenure: Initially for one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance and project requirements.
  
• No allowances such as DA, HRA, PF, or medical benefits are applicable.
  

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted through a Walk-in Interview at ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi.
