    • The Ph.D. degree was awarded in a regular mode.
    • The Ph.D. thesis underwent evaluation by at least two external examiners.
    • An open Ph.D. viva voce for the candidate has been successfully conducted.
    • The candidate has published two research papers from their Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
    • The candidate has presented at least two papers based on their Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
  • NET/SLET/SET is not required for Master’s Programmes in disciplines where these tests are not conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar accredited tests.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings (at any time) by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Times Higher Education (THE), or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai) are also eligible.
