Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Engineering Departments: First Class in B.Tech/B.E. with Ph.D. in relevant branch/discipline
• Industrial Design: First Class in B.Tech/B.E./B.Des. with Ph.D.
• Planning & Architecture: First Class in B.Arch. + M.Arch./M.Plan. (with Ph.D. for higher posts)
• Science / Humanities & Social Sciences: First Class in Master’s Degree with Ph.D.
• School of Management: First Class in MBA/M.Tech./M.Sc./LLM or equivalent with Ph.D.

Age Limit

Fresh appointment beyond 60 years is generally discouraged except in cases of exceptional research/industrial/academic career. Exact upper age limit as per NIT Statute and GoI guidelines.

Application Fee

• UR / OBC / EWS: ₹1,500
• SC / ST / PwD: ₹750
• Indian National applying from abroad: ₹3,000
• Note: Once the fee is paid, it is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection process includes:

• Stage 1: Shortlisting based on academic record, experience, and specialization
• Stage 2: Presentation / Seminar
• Stage 3: Interview

Final selection based on Academic Achievements and Presentation performance. Shortlisting criteria may be set higher than minimum eligibility.
