Educational Qualification

• Mine Surveyor (S-2 Grade): Applicants need a Full Time regular Diploma in Mine Survey, Mine Engineering, Mining & Mine Surveying, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. Additionally, a Surveyor’s Certificate (Coal) of Competency from DGMS and 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in coal mining are mandatory.
• Mine Junior Overman (S-2 Grade): Candidates must possess a Full Time regular Diploma in Mining Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks. An Overman’s Certificate of Competency in Coal from DGMS and 4 years of post-qualification experience in coal mining are also essential.
  • Important Note: All qualifications must be Full-Time & Regular from an AICTE-recognized Indian University/Institute. Candidates with 59.99% marks are not eligible; rounding off is not permissible. Experience as a Supervisory Trainee or during internships will not count.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: As per industry standards, typically 18 years.
• Maximum Age: The upper age limit for both posts is 30 years as on 01.07.2025.
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST candidates: +5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: +3 years
  • PwBD (General/EWS) candidates: +10 years
  • PwBD (OBC) candidates: +13 years
