- Super Specialty: DM/M.Ch in the respective discipline. Experience of 3 years after a 3-year DM/M.Ch degree, or 4 years after a 2 or 5-year DM/M.Ch course.
- Assistant Professor:
- Medical Specialty: 3 years of teaching and/or research experience after obtaining the MD/MS degree or equivalent.
- Super Specialty: DM/M.Ch in the respective discipline. No experience is required for candidates with a 3-year DM/M.Ch degree, or 1 year of experience after a 2 or 5-year DM/M.Ch course.
For Non-Medical Candidates (Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathology, and Pharmacology):
- Essential:
- Master’s degree (regular course – UGC recognized/equivalent), viz. M.Sc. in the concerned discipline/subject.
- Ph.D. in the concerned discipline/subject from an Indian University/Institute or an equivalent Ph.D. from a foreign university recognized by UGC.
