The SSC MTS and Havaldar Examination 2025 is a competitive recruitment drive for:

• Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS): Non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various central government ministries, departments, and offices across different states and Union Territories. Vacancies are being collected and will be updated on the SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
• Havaldar (CBIC & CBN): Non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. A total of 1075 vacancies are available, distributed across various regions (e.g., Mumbai Customs: 491, Chennai Customs: 124, CBN: 40).

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination (CBE) scheduled from September 20 to October 24, 2025. MTS candidates undergo a single CBE, while Havaldar candidates require an additional Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Measurement Test (PMT). Document Verification (DV) will be conducted by user departments post-results. Reservations are available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and ESM categories as per government norms.

Functional Requirements and Disability Suitability

• MTS: Involves sitting, standing, walking, bending, reading/writing, seeing, hearing, and communication. Suitable for PwBD categories: Blind, Low Vision, Deaf, Hard of Hearing, One Arm, Both Arms, One Leg, Both Legs, Cerebral Palsy, Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism (Mild/Moderate), Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, and Mental Illness.
• Havaldar: Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling/crouching, lifting, manipulation with fingers, reading/writing, seeing, hearing, and communication. Suitable for PwBD categories: Hard of Hearing, One Arm, One Leg, Leprosy Cured, Acid Attack Victims, Spinal Deformity/Injury without neurological/limb dysfunction, and multiple disabilities involving these.

PwBD candidates eligible for scribes (e.g., blindness, locomotor disability with both arms affected, cerebral palsy) receive compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour. Scribe facilities are provided based on certificates (Annexure-I/IA) submitted during the application.

How to Apply

1. Visit ssc.gov.in or use the mySSC mobile app (downloadable from the Google Play Store).
2. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) with Aadhaar-based authentication for streamlined processing.
3. Fill the online application form, uploading a live photograph (no caps, glasses, or earphones; full frontal view) and scanned signature (JPEG/JPG, 10–20 KB, 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm).
4. PwBD/PwD candidates must upload disability certificates (Annexure-I/IA/XII-XIV) if claiming reservation or scribe facility.
5. Pay the application fee of ₹100 (exempted for women, SC, ST, PwBD, ESM) via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/RuPay Debit card by July 25, 2025.
6. Verify details using the Preview/Print option before submission.
7. Use the correction window (July 29–31, 2025) for modifications (₹200 for the first correction, ₹500 for the second).
8. Check application status and fee payment on the SSC portal.

Note: Applications with incorrect photographs/signatures or incomplete fee payments will be rejected. Candidates must produce original certificates during Document Verification.
