Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 36 years
Age Relaxation
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for certain categories:
- SC, ST, BCs, and EWS candidates: 5 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered in the armed forces/NCC.
- N.C.C. (who worked as Instructor in N.C.C.): Length of service rendered in NCC.
- Regular A.P. State Government Employees: Allowed to deduct the length of regular service up to a maximum of 5 years.

Physical Requirements
For Men:
- Minimum height: Not less than 165 Cms.
- Chest measurement: Not less than 86.3 Cms round the chest on full inspiration, with a minimum expansion of 5.00 Cms.
- For SC/ST and Aboriginal Tribes Men: Minimum height not less than 160 Cms, chest not less than 83.80 Cms (expansion 5.00 Cms).
For Women:
- Minimum height: Not less than 157.5 Cms.
- Chest measurement: Not less than 82.30 Cms round the chest on full inspiration, with a minimum expansion of 5.00 Cms.
- For SC/ST and Aboriginal Tribes Women: Minimum height not less than 152.5 Cms, chest not less than 79.80 Cms (expansion 5.00 Cms).
Visual Standards (without glasses):
- Right Eye: Distance Vision 6/6, Near Vision: 0.5 (on Snellen’s Chart).
- Left Eye: Distance Vision 6/6, Near Vision: 0.5 (on Snellen’s Chart).
- Each eye must have a full field of vision.
- Color blindness, squint, or any morbid conditions of the eyes or lids will lead to disqualification.
Other Disqualifications:
- Candidates with knock knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, varicose veins, hammer toes, fractured limbs, or decayed teeth will be disqualified.
Application Fee
- Application Processing Fee: ₹250 (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) for all candidates.
- Examination Fee: ₹120 (Rupees one hundred and twenty only).
Exemptions from Examination Fee (₹120 only):
- SC, ST, BC & Ex-Servicemen.
- Families holding a household supply white card issued by the Civil Supplies Department, A.P. Government (Residents of Andhra Pradesh).
- Un-employed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser-A) Dept., dated: 18/10/1996 (must submit declaration).
Important Note:
- Applicants belonging to the exempted categories but hailing from other States are not entitled to exemption from the examination fee and are not eligible for any reservation benefits. They must pay the full ₹370.
- The fee once remitted is non-refundable.
- A charge of ₹100 will apply for each correction in the application form, except for changes to Name, Fee, and Age Relaxation.
Selection Process
- Written Examination: An objective-type test comprising two papers: Paper-I (General Studies & Mental Ability – 150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes) and Paper-II (Automobile Engineering – 150 questions, 300 marks, 150 minutes). There is a negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer.
- Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will appear for a CPT. This is a qualifying test, assessing proficiency in office automation and associated software (60 minutes, 100 marks). Minimum qualifying marks apply: 40% for OC, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC/ST/PBD.
- Document Verification: Successful candidates will undergo verification of all their submitted documents.
- Medical Fitness Test: Finally, candidates must pass a medical fitness test to ensure they meet the physical and health standards for the post.
Minimum qualifying marks in the written examination (aggregate) are 40% for Open Competition (OC), Ex-Servicemen & EWS candidates, 35% for Backward Class candidates, and 30% for SCs & STs.
