The Intelligence Bureau (IB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, recruits technically skilled candidates for national security roles. The 2025 recruitment targets 258 ACIO Grade-II/Tech posts in Computer Science & IT and Electronics & Communication streams. Selection is GATE-based (2023/2024/2025).

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have qualifying GATE cut-off marks in 2023, 2024, or 2025 in:
- Computer Science & IT (GATE Code: CS)
- Electronics & Communication (GATE Code: EC)
Along with one of the following:
- B.E./B.Tech in: Electronics, E&TC, E&C, Electrical & Electronics, IT, CS, CSE
- M.Sc in: Electronics, Physics with Electronics, E&C
- MCA from a recognized university/institute
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years (as on 16-11-2025)
- Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- Departmental (Central Govt): up to 40 years
- Widows/Divorced Women: up to 35 (UR), 38 (OBC), 40 (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt rules
- Meritorious Sportspersons: up to 5 years
Note: Post not suitable for PwBD. Hence, PwBD candidates need not apply.
Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS: ₹500 (Application) + ₹100 (Recruitment Processing) = ₹600
- SC / ST / Women / Ex-Servicemen: ₹100 (Recruitment Processing only)
- Note: Fee is non-refundable.
Selection Process
The selection process for IB ACIO Grade-II/Tech Recruitment 2025 includes:
- Stage 1: GATE Score (2023/2024/2025) – Shortlisting
- Stage 2: Skill Test
- Stage 3: Interview
- Stage 4: Document Verification
- Final Merit: Combined GATE + Skill Test + Interview
