Vacancy Details

Remote Location: Residents of North Eastern states. Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi- Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh. Andaman & Nicobar Islands. and Lakshwadeep

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the RWF Sports Quota Recruitment 2025–26, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Age Limit:
Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age as on 1 January 2026. No age relaxation will be allowed for any category. Candidates born earlier than 02 January 2001 or later than 01 January 2008 are not eligible.

2. Educational Qualification:
For Level-2 posts, candidates must have passed 12th (+2 Stage) from a recognized board or must possess 10th pass with ITI/NAC certificate issued by NCVT.
For Level-1 posts, a 10th pass or ITI/NAC qualification is sufficient. Final-year students awaiting results are not eligible to apply.

3. Sports Achievement Norms:
Applicants should have represented their state or country in recognized championships or achieved notable positions such as:

• Represented India in Category-B/C championships or equivalent.
  
• Secured at least third position in national-level games or championships.
  
• Achieved first position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
  
• Represented the state and achieved a top 8 position in senior national championships (for Level-1).
  

Only achievements recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) will be considered valid.

Sports Eligibility (Minimum Norms)

Candidates must have achieved any one of the following sports norms:

• Represented the Country in Category-B or C Championships/events.
  
• Secured at least 3rd position in National Games / Senior / Youth / Junior Championships.
  
• Attained 1st position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
  
• Represented the State with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships (for Level-1).
  

Sports disciplines must be recognized by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB).

Application Fee

• UR / OBC / General: ₹500 (₹400 refundable to those who appear for trials)
  
• SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Minority / EBC: ₹250 (fully refundable after trials)
  
• Payment Mode: Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft drawn in favor of Principal Financial Adviser (PFA), Rail Wheel Factory, Bangalore – 560064.
  

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on Sports Trials, Document Verification, and Merit.

1. Document Verification:
   Candidates must bring all original certificates (DOB, Education, Sports Achievements, ID Proof, Category Certificate, etc.).
   
2. Sports Trials:
   
   • To assess game skills, physical fitness, and coach’s observation (40 marks).
     
   • Assessment of Sports Achievements (50 marks).
     
   • Educational Qualification (10 marks).
     
3. Qualifying Marks:
   
   • Level-2: 65 marks (out of 100)
     
   • Level-1: 60 marks (out of 100)
     
4. Medical Examination:
   
   • Candidates must fulfill prescribed medical standards for their post.
     
5. Service Bond:
   
   • Selected candidates will execute a five-year bond and must represent Railways in their sport for a minimum of five years.
