Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Constable (Telecommunication): Applicants must have passed their 10+2 examination with Science.
- Constable (Photographer): Candidates need a 10+2 qualification with Science. Additionally, they must possess a 6 months computer course certificate from a UT or Central Government recognized institute and have two years of experience in videography/photography, including handling a digital camera, from a recognized institute.
- DOMICILE:The candidate(s) seeking to apply for the advertised posts shall be Domicile(s) of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date i.e. last date of submission of online application forms, which, unless otherwise extended, shall be 02.03.2026.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age (Open Merit and most Reserved Categories): 28 years (Candidates must not have been born before 01.01.1997 or after 01.01.2007.)
- Maximum Age (In-Service Police Personnel): 30 years (Candidates must not have been born before 01.01.1995 or after 01.01.2007.)
- Maximum Age (SPOs and Volunteer Home Guards (VHGs)): 40 years (Candidates must not have been born before 01.01.1985 or after 01.01.2007.)
Relaxation:
- Ex-Servicemen can deduct their service period from their actual age. The resultant age should not exceed the maximum age limit by more than 3 years.

- Relaxation: Candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community/Bot Tribe will receive a 2″ relaxation in minimum height.
- Stage 3: Physical Endurance Test (PET): Those who qualify in PST will proceed to PET, which is also qualifying.
- For Male candidates: Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 ½ minutes. Pushups: 20.
- For Female candidates: Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 ½ minutes. Shot Put (4Kgs): 14 ½ feet in three attempts.
- Relaxations in PET are applicable for Ex-Servicemen based on age.
- Stage 4: Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination to assess physical and medical fitness.
- Stage 5: Document Verification: Original documents and self-attested copies will be scrutinized. Candidates must possess all required certificates by the cut-off date.
